Grayson Nose, Audit Principal, has more than 10 years of public accounting experience, including nine years with Ernst & Young in Honolulu. In his 10 years, he led audit engagements for large nonprofit organizations. He currently serves as the audit principal on many of our largest nonprofit audit engagements. Prior to joining CW Associates, CPAs in 2016, Grayson served as the Controller at HiAccounting/The Hawaii Group for two years. Grayson is a certified public accountant, licensed in the State of Hawaii. He has a Master’s of Accounting degree and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Hawaii.

 

Scott Hayashi, Tax Director, joined CW Associates, CPAs in 2017 after serving as the Director of Tax at Alexander & Baldwin, Inc. He has 10 years of public accounting experience with Deloitte & Touche, LLP in St. Louis and Silicon Valley where he served U.S. and international clients and 12 years of private industry experience with large publicly-traded companies, including 8 years as Senior Tax Counsel at Apple Inc. Scott is an attorney licensed to practice in California and an associate member of the Hawaii Society of Certified Public Accountants. Scott has a law degree from Washington University School of Law and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from Georgetown University. Scott currently serves on the Honolulu Real Property Tax Board of Review and serves on the board of various community organizations, including the Pacific and Asian Affairs Council (Treasurer), St. Francis School, Hawaii Community Reinvestment Corporation (Treasurer) and the Deputies.

 

Lauren Bresnahan, Audit Senior Manager, has over eight years of public accounting experience, including five years with the international accounting firm of KPMG in Washington, D.C. and Honolulu. She currently serves as the audit manager on many of our largest for-profit and nonprofit engagements. Lauren is a certified public accountant, licensed in the States of Hawaii and Virginia. She has a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from North Carolina State University.

 

Mark Inafuku, Audit Senior Manager, joined our firm following five years with the international accounting firm of KPMG in Honolulu. Mark is a certified public accountant licensed in the State of Hawaii who manages many of our audits of commercial entities and their employee benefit plans, as well as nonprofit and governmental organizations. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Bob Jones University.

 

Lori Taira, Tax Senior Manager, joined CW Associates, CPAs, has more than 26 years of public accounting experience, including nineteen years with Deloitte, during which she provided tax advisory and compliance services primarily to nonprofit organizations. Lori is a certified public accountant, licensed in the State of Hawaii. She has a Master’s of Business Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Hawaii.

 

Maryjean “MJ” Saguid, Audit Manager, has more than 10 years of public accounting experience, including one year in the Honolulu office of Pricewaterhouse Coopers. She currently serves as the audit manager on the audits of many of our largest clients. MJ has a Master’s of Accounting as well as a Bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Hawaii. She is a certified public accountant, licensed in the State of Hawaii. MJ is a member in the Y-CPA Squad of the Hawaii Society of CPAs, which provides leadership to the members of the Y-CPA Society, and represents her fellow firm members on the firm’s Associates’ Council.

 

Kurtis Sumida, Audit Manager, has more than seven years of public accounting experience. In his seven years, he led audit and review engagements in a range of industries including nonprofit organizations. Kurtis is a certified public accountant, licensed in the State of Hawaii. He has a Master’s of Accounting degree and Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Hawaii. Kurtis is an active participant in our firm’s recruiting efforts at the University of Hawaii and other educational institutions.
